Mega Millions players will see some major changes beginning with the next drawing on **Tuesday, April 8**. The price of a single ticket is increasing from **$2 to $5**, but the new cost comes with significant enhancements designed to offer more value, excitement, and chances to win.

**Mega Millions Ticket Price Increases to $5 with Enhanced Prizes and Built-In Multiplier**

Mega Millions players will see some major changes beginning with the next drawing on **Tuesday, April 8**. The price of a single ticket is increasing from **$2 to $5**, but the new cost comes with significant enhancements designed to offer more value, excitement, and chances to win. **Bigger Jackpots, Better Odds**
 Lottery officials announced that the revamped game will now feature a **starting jackpot of $50 million**, up from the previous $20 million. The higher ticket price will also allow the jackpot to grow more quickly with each draw that doesn’t produce a grand prize winner, creating larger potential payouts for players across the country.

**Multiplier Now Included at No Extra Cost**
 One of the most exciting updates is the introduction of a **built-in prize multiplier**. In previous versions of the game, players in select states could opt to add a “Megaplier” for an additional $1 to increase non-jackpot winnings. Now, every Mega Millions ticket will automatically include a multiplier—ranging from **2x to 10x**—at no additional cost. This means even non-jackpot winners could see significantly boosted prize amounts.
