View the interactive golf map →Flagler County has five courses anyone can play, two resort courses at Hammock Beach, and four private club courses, with designs by Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer, Tom Watson, Gary Player, Tom Fazio and Rees Jones. The best season is October through May. In summer, book early-morning tee times to beat the heat and afternoon storms; winter weekends fill up fast once seasonal residents arrive.
Palm Coast's original golf course, owned by the City of Palm Coast since 2008 and redesigned in 2009. Fairways are carved between palm trees and old oaks draped in Spanish moss, rewarding accuracy and creativity for golfers of every level. It is home to the Men's and Women's Golf Associations and the Palm Harbor Niners. In April 2026 the City Council rejected privatizing the course after new fees, passes and longer hours improved revenue — it remains the only municipally owned course in the county.
An Arnold Palmer signature course designed with Ed Seay in 1980 and redesigned by Palmer in 2006–07. The longest of Palm Coast's original courses, with rolling tree-lined fairways and more than 60 white-sand bunkers — you'll use every club in the bag. Greens, tees, fairways and ponds got significant work in spring 2026. Formerly the "Pine" course of The Grand Club.
A Gary Player signature design (1989, later modernized by Player) winding through cypress, pine and hardwood forest, marsh and lakes, with love grass and pot bunkers. Family owned and operated since the current owners bought it in 2016 to keep it from closing. Secluded, seldom crowded, full of wildlife, and known for friendly staff and good value.
Bunnell's course, designed by Bill Amick and Mike Beebe and opened in 2008 inside the Grand Reserve community, surrounded by more than 300 acres of protected wetlands. The most forgiving layout in the county and one of the most affordable — a good choice for beginners and casual rounds, and often the last course with open tee times on busy winter weekends.
Flagler Beach's nine-hole par-3 course at the south end of town, designed by Fred Bolton. The City of Flagler Beach sold it in June 2026 to its operators, Jeff Ryan and Tanuj Seoni; a deed restriction keeps it a golf course, and the new owners plan extensive improvements. Great for a quick nine near the beach, short-game practice, beginners and kids — call ahead for current conditions while work is underway.
Flagler County's marquee course: a Jack Nicklaus signature design with six holes directly on the Atlantic — the most oceanfront holes in Florida — including the demanding four-hole "Bear Claw" finish. Ranked among Florida's top public-access and resort courses by Golfweek and Golf Digest, and host of the Furyk & Friends PGA Tour Champions event. Open to Hammock Beach Golf Resort & Spa guests and members; expect premium rates, especially on peak mornings.
Tom Watson's links-style course (2006), inland from the Ocean Course and one of the longest and toughest in Florida. Expect steep mounding, huge wave-like greens, deep pot and sod-faced bunkers, waterfalls, streams and stonework, an island-green par 3 at the 8th, and an elevated 18th tee with a view over nearly the whole course. Bunkers were renovated in 2021. Open to Hammock Beach resort guests and members.
A Jack Nicklaus signature course inside the gated Grand Haven community, with Intracoastal Waterway views and three holes along the water, including the finishing hole. Generous landing areas make it playable for all levels. Men's, women's and couples leagues for members.
A Tom Fazio design (1989, renovated 2016) inside the gated, member-owned Hammock Dunes community, with three holes on the Atlantic. Audubon-certified. The oceanfront clubhouse has dining, a pool, fitness center, tennis, pickleball, croquet and bocce.
A Rees Jones design on the mainland, about seven miles from the Links Course, set on roughly 690 acres of oaks, palms, wetlands and marsh with elevated, tricky greens. Ranked by Golf Digest among Florida's best and a regular U.S. Open and U.S. Amateur qualifying site. Low Country-style clubhouse with a casual restaurant and screened porch.
A private, gated golf community straddling the county line off US-1, with an Ormond Beach mailing address and several course combinations for members.
Just south of the Flagler County line, and the nearest 18-hole public course for Flagler Beach and south Flagler golfers. Mature oaks and more elevation change than most Florida courses.
There is no golf here. The 18-hole course opened in 1986, was heavily damaged in the 1998 wildfires and was later abandoned. In 2021 the city cleared the way for a residential development of 200-plus homes on the former course. Looking to play in that part of town? Pine Lakes is about two miles away.
