With five elections scheduled in the first quarter of the year, itโs time to get ready to make your voice heard again in 2025.
Hereโs the big news: U.S. Representative Waltz is stepping down on January 20, 2025, the day President-elect Trump takes office, to become the national security adviser for Trumpโs second term
For us this means a Special Election has been called for Congressional District 6. This is a partisan race with two key dates:
- Special Primary Election: January 28, 2025
- Special General Election: April 1, 2025 (and no, thatโs not an April Foolsโ joke!)
For us here in Flagler County, these are countywide elections. Congressional District 6 covers all of Flagler and parts of St. Johns, Putnam, Marion, Lake, and Volusia Counties.
But thatโs not allโweโve also got the regularly scheduled municipal elections coming up on March 4, 2025, for the City of Bunnell, City of Flagler Beach, and Town of Beverly Beach.
With so many opportunities to vote, now is the time to think about how youโll cast your ballot to make a differance in our community and state.
Did you know? If youโre planning to vote by mail, all Vote-By-Mail ballot requests in Florida expired after the General Election on November 5, 2024. That means youโll need to renew your request. Donโt waitโyour renewed request will be valid through December 31, 2026.
Hereโs how to renew or request a Vote-By-Mail ballot from Flagler County Supervisor of Elections Office.
- Call at 386-313-4170 or
- Visit Flagler County Supervisor Of Elections website: Request a mail ballot
Important deadlines:
- Request a ballot by January 16, 2025, at 5:00 p.m.
- Return your completed ballot by 7:00 p.m. on Election Day.
Voting by mail is simple, secure, and convenientโperfect if youโre busy with work, travel, or other commitments. Plus, itโs a lifeline for our overseas voters and military members stationed around the globe.
Whether you vote from home or at the polls, the most important thing is that you vote. Letโs make 2025 a year of strong voter turnout, Flagler County! Your voice matters in every electionโbig or small.
