The designation highlights Flagler Schools’ participation in the Guy Harvey Conservation Education Program, which focuses on teaching students about caring for oceans, marine ecosystems, wildlife conservation, and environmental stewardship through classroom learning and hands-on educational experiences. A presentation honoring the recognition will take place during this month’s Flagler Schools Board Meeting at the Government Services Building in Bunnell, Florida on May 19. “**We are inspired by the work and commitment of the educators and schools in Flagler Schools that, through the Guy Harvey Conservation Education Program, promote marine science and strengthen conservation education**,” said Jessica Harvey, CEO of the Guy Harvey Foundation (GHF), the global non-profit organization that supports scientific research, advances education, and drives advocacy that protects marine ecosystems to keep the ocean a place for exploration for generations to come.
